The project
bevi.gratis grew from a simple idea: make it effortless to find a fountain wherever you are, without asking for anything in return.
bevi.gratis is public in the most practical sense: anyone can access it, and it is designed as a useful community tool. The map brings together fountains and water points for people who walk, travel, exercise or simply want to refill their bottle.
Anyone using the map can suggest a new fountain or report outdated information. Every contribution is reviewed before becoming part of the service: participation is open, while data quality remains a priority.
Knowing where to refill a bottle makes it easier to choose public water and reduce single-use bottles. A small everyday action can become more convenient, affordable and sustainable.
The map will continue to grow through reports and checks. The goal is not merely to show many points, but to provide clear and reliable details: location, status and useful information for reaching them.
